Snow Sculpture

  #

Some of you OCC'ers from Michigan may have noticed the first white stuff of winter on the ground yesterday...

Well, since 1998, 13 teams from all over the world have worked on transforming the 20-ton, 10 x 10 x 12-foot tall blocks of snow into works of art at the International Snow Sculpture Championships.

This all happens in Breckenridge, Colorado in late January / early February each year.

How do they make those big blocks of snow? View the Videos!

Although, Sunday's snow in Michigan may not be enough to do this in the backyard, we should keep this in mind for any future winter OCC gatherings!
